INDIANAPOLIS – Hinkle Fieldhouse at Butler University will soon welcome new drinks to their menu – alcoholic beverages.
John Dedman, associate athletic director for communications, said the Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission approved the school’s permit however, it not clear when sales will begin.
University officials said the plan to sell alcohol at all events held at Hinkle had been in the works for more than a year.
Other universities, like Purdue, recently began selling beer and wine at its home basketball and football games.
Dedman said the date and first game of alcohol sales will be announced once logistics are worked out.
