Carrier recalling 150 laid off workers for peak season

INDIANAPOLIS -- Carrier is recalling more than 100 Indianapolis workers who were let go when their jobs were moved to Mexico. 

Between 500 and 600 workers lost their jobs in the past year when the Carrier plant on the city's west side moved its entire fan coil division to Monterrey, Mexico.

The company is now recalling about 150 of those workers to return to work. A company spokesperson says they will recall workers each year to increase their manufacturing output during the months when demand is higher.
