INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis police began conducting a death investigation Wednesday evening after a person was found dead on the city’s east side.
Police said a 40-year-old man was found dead just inside the front door of a house near East 10th Street and North Grant Avenue around 5 p.m. His family members found him at the house.
He suffered multiple gunshot wounds, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The name of the victim was not released.
