INDIANAPOLIS -- A woman has been arrested in connection with a homicide Friday morning on Indianapolis' southwest side.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called to a home in the 800 block of Birch Avenue before 6 a.m.
They found an adult male, later identified as Joshua Tye, with an apparent gunshot wound. Tye died at the scene.
Detectives interviewed a woman who was also at the scene when they arrived. Investigators arrested Marissa Huffman and preliminarily charged her with murder.
