DECATUR TOWNSHIP, Ind. -- A Decatur Township woman has a warning for parents after she says a man was waiting outside their home for her little brother when he went to leave for the bus stop Monday morning.
Yena Mae says her brother was getting ready to head to his elementary school and he usually likes to go out to the bus stop earlier than most of the other kids.
When he opened the door Monday morning, he found a man standing just a few feet outside.
"He noticed that man dressed in all black was standing at our porch," Mae said. "He was just standing there with his hands in his pocket, but obviously he could feel the intention that was coming from the man."
Mae said her little brother quickly shut the door and ran upstairs, shaking and panicking. While she says she can't say for certain what the man intended, the coincidence of that man standing outside her home at the same time as her little brother was going to leave for school leaves her concerned.
"It was just weird that he was out there at the same time that my younger brother was about to get on the bus," Mae said.

This wasn't the only incident on Monday. In Hamilton County, the sheriff's office is looking for a man driving a white Ford Explorer who they say approached a 13-year-old student and tried to pick him up near his bus stop.
Mae says she'll be accompanying her little brother to the bus stop from now on.
"I just recommend to make sure your children are getting to your bus safe," Mae said. "Now I'm gonna actually be standing outside with him, making sure that nothing happens."
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan School District of Decatur Township says they recommend kids wait at the bus stops in groups and says many parents already wait at the stops with their kids.
The school also suggests parents use the "Here Comes the Bus" app. It's available to families in the MSD of Decatur Township and lets parents know exactly how far away the bus is so their kids don't have to wait outside for long.
