INDIANAPOLIS -- If you're heading to Europe you'll have a new way to get there from Indianapolis starting next year.

Indianapolis Governor Eric Holcomb announced Wednesday that Delta will be adding a new nonstop flight to Paris starting in 2018.

Gov. Holcomb said the new flight will provide a critical link connecting Indiana businesses to global markets.

“Indiana’s pro-business reputation continues to grow and spread around the globe, and that’s why securing a direct transatlantic flight is so important,” Gov. Holcomb said. “This flight is a big win for our state’s business community and for Hoosier travelers. I cannot wait to see that first Delta flight take off for Europe in just a few short months.”

The flights, which will begin May 24, 2018, will connect Indiana and Europe year-round with service scheduled at least three times per week.

Delta's Indianapolis to Paris service will be available for sale beginning September 23, 2017 and is scheduled to operate as follows:

Flight Number  Departs                                        Arrives
DL500                Indianapolis (IND) at 6:20 p.m.    Paris (CDG)  at 8:45 a.m. (next day)
DL501                Paris (CDG)  at 1:15 p.m.            Indianapolis (IND) at 4:35 p.m.

They're the latest in a series of new flights being offered out of Indianapolis International Airport over the past couple years as the airport works to expand its flight offerings including nonstop flights to Cancun that will begin with Southwest Airlines next spring.
