INDIANAPOLIS — Dozens of homeless people have been displaced after a fire damaged the shelter they were staying in on Indianapolis' east side.

Firefighters were called to the Good News Mission just after 3 p.m. for a report of a fire.

Fire officials say 80 adults were staying at the shelter when the fire broke out. The Red Cross is assisting them in finding a new shelter for the evening.
