INDIANAPOLIS -- A group of ex-felons is urging youth in Indianapolis to put down the guns and help stop the violence after a serious of shootings rocked the community this week.
The group of OG's or "Old Gangsters" made a public plea during a press conference on Thursday.
"It's not gonna be anything that is sugar-coated," said Chef "T" Burnett. "It's gonna be genuine, its gonna be to the point It's gonna be abrupt. That's the way some of these kids need to be dealt with."
Jomo Cole says kids need to start rejecting the rules of the "streets" and know that they're changing.
"That if you snitch you get stitches don't apply anymore," said Cole. "If you are brave enough to shoot people in broad daylight you need to be off the street."
