INDIANAPOLIS -- The first ever "Grow with Google" event continues Saturday in Indianapolis.
There are workshops, one-on-one coaching, coding classes, and interactive demonstrations aimed at helping people learn or hone their digital skills.
"Coding, knowing how to use email, presentations at work, knowing how websites work, how to do some search optimization. These are all things that employers are beginning to expect from their employees today, " said Erica Swanson, Community Engagement, Grow with Google.
Indianapolis was selected by Google because we hold the number five spot when it comes to growth in tech jobs in the country.
"When people look around and they go, 'Where did Google come first in the country?' It's right here at home. Right here in Indy," said Sen. Joe Donnelly, Democrat, Indiana.
"Grow with Google" continues Saturday at the Indiana State Museum from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. It's free and open to the public. You can still registerby clicking here.
