INDIANAPOLIS -- Four families were displaced after a fire damaged their apartment complex early Saturday morning.

Firefighters were called to the Horizons Apartments just before 3:30 a.m. for a fire.

Indianapolis Fire Department officials say the fire started in the 5240 building and spread to four units. Two of those units were heavily damaged in the fire and two other apartments had significant smoke damage.

In total, four families were displaced by the fire.

None of the apartment renters were injured in the fire.  One firefighter got a minor injury; he was treated on the scene.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
