Four new roundabouts coming to Franklin Township in 2019

INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Department of Public Works will hold a public meeting on Thursday evening regarding plans to construct four roundabouts in Franklin Township.

The aim of the meeting is to ask questions, provide feedback, discuss estimated construction timeline and planned detour routes during construction.

The intersections getting roundabouts include:

  • Arlington Avenue at Edgewood Avenue
  • Franklin Road at Edgewood Avenue
  • Franklin Road at Thompson Road
  • Arlington Avenue at Shelbyville Road

The intersection at Thompson and Franklin Road has already begun construction.

The meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. in the Franklin Central High School cafeteria, Thursday, Jan. 14.
