INDIANAPOLIS -- Garth Brooks kept busy during his trip to Indianapolis, and we aren’t talking about the five shows he performed. Brooks and his wife, Trisha Yearwood, spent their days visiting and holding charity events for kids around Indianapolis – and their nights on stage performing for thousands of screaming fans.
On Saturday, the “Garth Brooks Teammates for Kids Foundation” held a pro-camp at Howe High School. The foundation partners with pro-camps to hold a camp at every stop on Garth’s tour. Each camp focuses on a different sport. Here in Indiana, it was football.
Garth headed out to visit with the kids at the camp on Saturday and have a little fun on the field with them.

“I can’t imagine being their age and seeing these guys come out, I would just be in awe,” said Brooks. “It would be the best day of my life.
He said the goal of his camp is to encourage young athletes to enjoy being part of a team.
“I’m the luckiest guy in the world because I get to be a part of it,” said Brooks. “That’s what Teammates is all about, no name is bigger than another.”
Professional athletes, including several former Colts players, also joined Garth at Saturday’s camp.
Teammates for Kids is a privately funded non-profit organization that gives back 100% of everything they earn to help kids.
