Health & safety fair will offer free dental screening for kids, education on numerous topics

INDIANAPOLIS -- To kick off their 41st National Assembly, members of The Links, Incorporated will take part in a day of service offering free health and safety education and free dental screenings for children. 

The fair will help raise awareness with interactive and educational activities about:

  • Baby Safe Sleep
  • Breastfeeding
  • Fire
  • Water & Bike Safety
  • Fall Prevention Among the Elderly

This year the health and safety fair is also partnering with Colgate to offer services from the "Bright Smiles, Bright Futures" dental van with the feature "A Summer for Smiles" - an event that provides free dental screenings for 500 children 12 years old and younger.

"The Bright Smiles, Bright Futures program teaches children to develop and maintain good oral hygiene habits that help reduce the prevalence of dental caries,"

The Community Health and Safety Fair will be:

Tuesday, June 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

All children ages 12 and under will receive free dental screenings and toothbrushes. 

Expectant mothers will receive a free pack and play.
