INDIANAPOLIS -- As Christmas gets closer and closer, the United Way of Central Indiana needs your help.

There are just 11 days left to raise nearly $200,000 to help put gifts under Christmas trees for local families. If you go to Lights at the Brickyard at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Dec. 11 or Dec. 18, you can help United Way meet that $200,000 goal.

Of every admission fee for Lights at the Brickyard, $5 will go toward supporting United Way.

Lights at the Brickyard runs Nov. 17-Dec. 30 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and features 2.5 million lights in festive holiday displays. The route stretches more than two miles through the IMS infield and crosses the iconic yard of bricks. In celebration of United Way's 100th anniversary, Lights at the Brickyard includes a United Way light display.

Donations help fund “Merry Money,” a voucher that qualifying individuals and families can use at local stores to purchase clothing, food, and toys.
