INDIANAPOLIS -- Hoosier children who have a medical condition that keeps them from attending school or who need to stay home for other reasons now have an alternative way to get their education through online courses in the Hoosier Academies' "Hybrid Schools" program.

Hoosier Academies is an online public school that provides a safe place for students to learn from home.

There are options for any learning style, and the parents work closely with the teachers at Hoosier Academies to make sure their children are getting what they need to succeed.

Hoosier Academies offers straight online learning as well, but their “Hybrid Program” allows students to stay home three days a week to work on their lessons and then attend a learning center two days a week, so they still get some of the traditional classroom exposure.

The program is free for Indiana students.

Hoosier Academies says their goal is to offer options that are flexible for any family.
