INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department detectives seized nine firearms, several totes full of marijuana, Xanax and THC materials Friday on the northeast side.

IMPD seized more than 50 pounds of marijuana, ten pounds of THC candies, several hundred tubes of THC vape cartridges, several thousand Xanax pills and nine firearms. Two of the handguns retrieved shoot a rifle cartridge, which can easily penetrate a ballistic vest, according to IMPD.

Two people — a 22-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman — were arrested on preliminary drug charges. No formal charges have been filed.

This search warrant was apart of an ongoing narcotics investigation by IMPD Criminal Interdiction Section (CIS).
