INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD has responded to a shooting on the west side that has sent a juvenile to the hospital.
According to police, officers dispatched to a shooting in the 200 block of Berwick Avenue on the city's west side on a report of a person shot.
The juvenile was transported to Riley Hospital and was reportedly awake at the time of transport.
As of 10:30 a.m., IMPD confirmed the child was an elementary-aged female that was shot in the stomach.
The child remains in critical but stable condition after being shot in a bedroom within the home.
The home is within the Ponderosa Manufactured Home Community.
