INDIANAPOLIS -- The stairs of the Indiana War Memorial will be closed through the spring for a roof repair project.
The inside of the memorial will remain open, but the director of the Indiana War Memorial says keeping the stairs open while the roof project is underway was a safety hazard.
The $2.2 million roof repair project is expected to be completed by sometime next spring but no official date has been set.
