BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- A Bloomington woman says RiverLink toll company turned her over to collections before she even saw her first bill.
Kelly Dower says the bill finally showed up at her home months after she drove over the bridge that connects Louisville to Indiana. She says it was the first notice she received, but it included significant late fees.

"So, when I called them they were extremely unhelpful," said Dower. "The most they would offer was $30-$40 credit... or my option was to dispute the charges."
Dower said she decided to file a dispute, but it was denied because her bill was already 60 days past due.
RiverLink says the reason Dower didn't receive her bill until months later, is because her address wasn't up to date. The company pointed to their new online pay portal, which was just released so that customers can pay their bill before it's even mailed and avoid these types of situations.
