INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indianapolis man is honoring his late girlfriend through song.
For Kyle Vane and Heather Allman the love story ended in tragedy, but it continues to inspire in the words Vane wrote after Allman's death.
The pair met in Los Angeles and quickly fell in love, and when Allman was diagnosed with breast cancer, Vane stayed by her side until the end - and she promised to stay by his side forever.
"Her last words, she said: 'I promise I'll never leave you and I'll continue to help you write,'" said Vane.
