INDIANAPOLIS – Eleven adoptable dogs from Houston were welcomed to the Humane Society of Indianapolis this week to make room for other animals impacted by Hurricane Harvey.

The dogs, of all shapes, sizes and breeds, were picked up from Chicago and taken back to Indianapolis. Staff at Indy Humane will help them find loving homes.

Officials at Indy Humane said they’ve been in daily contact with several rescue organizations in the Houston area to provide any help needed.

Those looking to make a financial donation, Indy Humane recommends Austin Pets Alive!
