INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis Star columnist Matthew Tully lost his battle with cancer Monday evening. He was 49.
The Star announced in a Tweet early Tuesday morning that Tully had died. He had been battling stomach cancer for the past two years.
Tully announced back in June that he was taking another break from his column to focus on his health. He leaves behind a wife and 7-year-old son.
