INDIANAPOLIS -- There's no adoption fee if you adopt a pet from IndyHumane this weekend.
IndyHumane says about 100 animals will be available for adoption as part of the nationwide "Free the Shelter" event.
The goal of the fee-free event is to make it easier financially for people to adopt a pet from the shelter.
You can check out available pets at IndyHumane, 7929 N. Michigan Rd., from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, December 15, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 16.
