INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis Power and Light customers will soon be seeing lower bills.

Thursday, the Indiana Regulatory Commision approved a plan that will allow IPL to begin crediting approximately $9.5 million back to customers over the next six months.

The bill cuts are a direct result from last year's federal tax cut.

The typical customer will see their bill go down approximately $1.50 per month, but those rates will vary depending on the customer's normal energy usage.
