FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, Ind. -- After a Free Little Library was burned over the weekend, donations have been pouring in to replace the one that was destroyed as well as dozens of others in the city.
Tom and Michelle Wagner woke up Sunday morning to discover that the Little Free Library they built several years ago had been burned to the ground. They said their library usually had about 50 books at a time inside, and most of them were kids books.
They shared their story on the Franklin Township Crime page on Facebook and within 15 minutes they had dozens of offers to help them rebuild.
"Just the support from our community has been overwhelming and amazing and restored our faith in situations like this," said Tom and Michelle Wagner.
Lillie Beasley was so inspired that she found a business that was willing to sponsor 100 new Little Free Libraries.
"We would love to go to the inner city, anywhere in downtown Indianapolis, the east side - the north side - anywhere in the city," said Beasley.
Donated books and materials can be delivered to Advanced Limousine on Southeastern Avenue or at Arby's at 2130 East County Line Road.
