INDIANAPOLIS — A man injured in a fire investigators believe started because he was smoking too close to his oxygen tank has died.
Firefighters were called to the home on Meadowlark Drive just before 2 a.m. Thursday.
Crews say the fire began in a small bedroom of the home. Firefighters found a man in his 70s inside the bedroom and rushed him to the hospital in critical condition.
The man later died at the hospital. His identity has not been released.
Investigators believe the man may have been smoking near an oxygen tank, causing the fire.
Two other people who were insidet he home were not injured.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
