Man found shot to death inside truck after crash on Indy's northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS -- A man was found shot to death inside a truck after a crash on Indianapolis’ northwest side early Friday morning.

 

Officers were called to the scene in the 2600 block of E. Riverside Drive just after midnight for an accident.

 

When they arrived they found a man dead inside the vehicle. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department detectives say that man had been shot at least one time. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

The Marion County Coroner has identified the victim as Santos Garcia, 41. 

 

Police canvassed the area for witnesses but were unable to find any at the scene.

 

Santos' body will be sent to the Marion County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy to determine his exact cause of death.
