WHITESTOWN, Ind. -- A man's beat up timer caused quite the scare at a local business when it was mistaken for a possible explosive device.

The owner of Friendly's Market saw what could have been explosive with electrical tape and wires coming out of it - he called the police and the building was evacuated.

When police identified the man on surveillance that had left the device they spoke to him an determined that he had just left his timer behind.

Robin Walker, an artist, says he uses the timer to time himself while he attempts to go for a world record for the fastest sketches.

"I'm the only one in the world doing that," said Walker. "That's the only way to authenticate what I'm doing for the Guinness Book of World Records."
