Man shot and killed on Indianapolis' north side; suspect arrested

INDIANAPOLIS -- One man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a man inside an apartment building on Indianapolis' north side Tuesday evening.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the scene just after 6 p.m. on East 38th Street near the intersection of North New Jersey. 

Michael Brown, 59, was found dead at the scene. 

Police found Michael Cunningham, 59, and arrested him on preliminary charges of murder.

The shooting remains under investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
