INDIANAPOLIS -- A 16-year-old boy was killed in a shooting at an apartment complex on Indianapolis' north side Monday evening.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the 700 block of E. 86th Street for a person who had been shot just after 8 p.m.
After arriving, police discovered that a Hamilton County Medic was passing through and found the victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound and transported him to a local hospital where he later died.
The crime scene was located at the Lakeside Pointe at Nora Apartments near 91st Street and College Avenue.
Police say the victim was taken to the hospital where he later died. He has been identified as Juwan-Howard Smith, 16.
Police do not have any suspects at this time.
