Man shot, killed on Indianapolis' southeast side identified

INDIANAPOLIS -- A man was shot and killed on Indianapolis' southeast side Saturday evening. 

Officers were called to the 2400 block of Dawson Street around 9 p.m.

When they arrived they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The Marion County Coroner has identified the victim as Christopher Bowman. 

The shooting remains under investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. Anyone with information about the incident should contact IMPD or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317-262-8477.
