INDIANAPOLIS — Indy Reads has announced that they're offering a new certification program that can help Hoosiers earn higher wages and move up in the workplace.

The program can earn adults customer service certifications in less than two months.

From seasoned professionals to entry-level employees, The Indy Reads' certification classes are open to all adults, not only those who go to the bookstore for literacy education.

The Mass Ave bookstore is offering these classes as a compliment to Governor Erci Holcomb's statewide drive to bridge the gap between employees and high demanding jobs.

"We want to help more people stand out and be ready to move ahead in their career," said Ryan King, Indy Reads CEO.

By 2026, the Indiana Department of Workforce Development estimates an increase of over 5,000 employment opportunities for customer service representatives in the Marion County.

Employers are also welcomed to partner with Indy Reads. This offer also extends to on-site classes for employees.
