Missing Indy man found dead in Wabash County; homicide investigation underway

WABASH COUNTY, Ind. -- A body found by a fisherman in Wabash County has been identified as a 20-year-old Indianapolis who was reported missing in early June. 

Family members said Alexis Serrano was last seen alive on June 2. He was reported missing on June 6. 

Indiana State Police say a fisherman located a decomposing body in Peru on June 28. That body was identified this week as Serrano. 

State police say Seranno's death is being treated as a homicide and anyone with information is asked to call the Indiana State Police in Peru at either 1-800-382-0689 or 765-473-6666.
