INDIANAPOLIS – More than 100 people gathered for several hours near the Indiana State Fairgrounds Wednesday to protest the arrival of President Donald Trump who spoke on tax reform.

Protesters’ messages varied from some calling for impeachment while others wanted Trump to avoid healthcare changes.

The group wasn’t allowed to protest on fairgrounds’ property, and were forced to stay on 38th Street.

“They told me that I couldn't be over there, that all of the protesters were going to be on 38th Street and Fall Creek,” said Tina Pontius. “It (sign) says impeach president Pinocchio and my shirt says America is already great.”

Trump unveiled the Republican framework for tax reform which called for reducing the personal income tax brackets from seven to three, doubling the standard deduction for married and single filers, eliminating the estate tax and cutting the corporate tax rate up to 20 percent.

"Make the tax code simpler and more fair for everyday Americans, and we're going to bring back the jobs and wealth that have left our country,” he said.
