SOUTHPORT, Ind. – More than 600 patches have been collected for the family of fallen Southport Lt. Aaron Allan by Indiana Going Blue.
Law enforcement agencies from all over the world sent in patches that once were on the uniforms of officers.
"One of the big things we always talk about is the big brotherhood in police work. I think this shows it more than anything. All these patches- they're from all over the world, we've got some from London, Quebec and Japan. It means a lot,” said Southport Chief Thomas Vaughn.
Members of Indiana Going Blue plan to sew the patches into three quilts for Allan’s mother, widow and son.
