INDIANAPOLIS -- A motorcycle that was part of the motorcade transporting President Donald Trump crashed on its way from the Indiana State Fairgrounds to the Indianapolis Airport on Wednesday.

The crash happened on I-65 just before the Michigan Street exit.

The White House correspondents traveling with the president said the motorcycle could be seen "lying on the right side of the highway" as the press van drove by and the officer was "moving" on the left side of the highway.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said one of their officers "spilled' his bike while helping transport the president, but is expected to be okay.

White House correspondents said it is unclear if the motorcycle hit one of the vans that were involved in the motorcade but it did not appear that the president's vehicle was involved.
