Multiple people shot, two killed on Indianapolis' west side

INDIANAPOLIS —Two people were killed and one was hospitalized in critical condition after multiple people were shot on Indianapolis' west side Tuesday evening. 

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to a home in the 2000 block of Blue Pine Lane at about 7:30 p.m. for a report of a shooting. 

Officers arrived to find four people shot. One was found outside the house, the rest were found inside the house. One of the three found inside the house was pronounced dead at the scene. Another was pronounced dead at the hospital. No identities have been released. 

Police say a fifth person on the scene was taken into custody. That person was not shot. 

A sixth person possibly connected to the shooting also showed up at the hospital with unknown injuries. Police are still trying to determine whether that person was injured as part of the shooting. 

Police believe they have everyone involved in the shooting in custody.
