Warrant issued for man in connection with weekend murder on Indianapolis' northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS -- A warrant has been issued for a man wanted in connection with the murder of a 44-year-old man on Indianapolis' northeast side over the weekend. 

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department detectives say Harold Pulliam, 44, is suspected to be involved in the fatal shooting of Byron Davenport Jr. on Saturday.

Officers were called out to the scene after 3 p.m. near the intersection of Sheldon Street and E. 24th Street on the northeast side.

Police say Davenport was found suffering at least one gunshot wound inside a vehicle at the scene. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

After speaking with witnesses and searching the scene, detectives have identified Pulliam as a potential suspect in Davenport's murder. A warrant for Murder was issued Monday for his arrest. 

Police say Pulliam should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see him do not approach him, call 911 immediately.
