INDIANAPOLIS -- A partnership between Eskenazi Health, Meals on Wheels and the Indiana State Health Department is helping to feed people living with HIV/AIDS in Indiana.
The program, called "Ryan's Meals for LIfe," is named after Ryan White. The Kokomo boy contracted HIV through a contaminated blood treatment when he was just 13 years old and became the poster child for HIV education and awareness during his short life.
White died of AIDS in 1990. He was 20 years old.

Those admitted to the program in the Indianapolis area can receive hot or frozen meals through Meals on Wheels of Central Indiana. People outside the region can get frozen meals shipped directly to them.
Recipients will also work with coordinators who can consult their physicians to make sure the meals meet their needs.
