MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. -- One person is dead and six others were injured after a head-on crash in Miami County Saturday afternoon.
The crash happened in the 1300 block of East Miami County Road 400 North.
According to Indiana State Police, Nathan Stuber, 34, was heading eastbound on CR 400N and a second vehicle driven by a 32-year-old woman was heading westbound when the two vehicles had a sideswipe, opposite direction collision on a hillcrest.
Stuber and his wife were both ejected from their vehicle. Stuber was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife and two young children in the back seat, ages nine and four, were all flown to Lutheran Hospital with unknown injuries.
The female driver from the second vehicle was also flown to the hospital with unknown injuries. Her two juvenile passengers, 10 and eight, were taken by ambulance to Dukes Memorial Hospital to be treated for their injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by Indiana State Police.
