INDIANAPOLIS -- A 65-year-old man is dead after a fire on Indianapolis' south side early Thursday morning.
Firefighters were called to the home in the 1800 block of New Street around 6 a.m.
Firefighters say Roderick Case was found dead inside the home. They believe he may have had some medical issues that prevented him from getting out of the home after the fire started.
It took firefighters about ten minutes to get the fire under control.
The fire remains under investigation by the Indianapolis Fire Department.
