One person dead, another person serious after hit-and-run on Indy's south side

INDIANAPOLIS -- One person was killed and another person seriously injured in a hit-and-run on Indianapolis' south side late Sunday evening. 

Police say two people were struck by a vehicle that left the scene near the intersection of E. Stop 11 Road and Cherington Drive. 

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers say one person was pronounced dead at the scene. That person has been identified as Mang Peng, 44.

The second person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. 

Police are looking for a silver/gray 2003-2005 Honda Civic with passenger side damage and a missing passenger rear view mirror.

The incident remains under investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
