INDIANAPOLIS -- Operations at the Indianapolis International Airport were delayed Thursday afternoon after Transportation Security Administration officials say a Federal Air Marshal misplaced a weapon at the airport.

It is unclear at this point if the gun was ever located.

"While we cannot comment publicly on internal matters currently under investigation, public safety and accountability is an important aspect of our work," said Transportation Security Administration spokesperson Mike England.
