INDIANAPOLIS -- Over 150 animals were adopted during the free cat adoption event at Indianapolis Animal Care Services this weekend but the shelter remains overcrowded.

Although 130 cats and 55 dogs found their forever homes, IACS spokesperson says the shelter took in 151 animals during that same period of time.

The shelter remains at a critical level and is over capacity but they now have more dogs then they can keep caged.
