INDIANAPOLIS -- The owner of a massage parlor next to a day care on Indianapolis' west side was arrested on Friday and charged with prostitution.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department detectives raided Satisfied Spa on West 10th Street as part of a weeks-long undercover investigation.
Police say they received a tip about "illegal activity" happening at the massage parlor and were able to follow up with more specific instances.
This isn't the first time the owner of Satisfied Spa has been charged with a crime, according to police, and its location next to a daycare is concerning.
"Children in the city need to have the luxury and safety and the anonymity to go about their business and be kids," said IMPD Sgt. Christopher Wilburn. "Drug paraphernalia, claims of prostitution - that's concerning to us."
The owner, whose name has not yet been released, is charged with prostitution and promoting prostitution at this time.
Police say they are also investigating claims of covert human trafficking, drug activity and other crimes from the business but none of those charges have been filed at this time.
