INDIANAPOLIS -- Patrons of the Old National Centre are frustrated after they say they were forced to wait outside in freezing temperatures for at least an hour Friday night when the lines got long – some of them even missed part of their show.
“I’m wondering what’s going on. It was subzero temperatures and there’s so much flu going around,” said Janet Poulimas. “There were kids in line.”
Poulimas, like thousands of others, wanted to see a show Friday night – but she had no idea she’d be stuck outside in single-digit temperatures.
“I wasn’t prepared to be waiting outside for an hour or I would’ve worn several layers,” said Poulimas. “And so would have everybody else.”
There were two shows going on at the same time – one at the Murat Theatre and another in the Egyption Room - not uncommon for the Old National Centre, but for some reason they couldn’t handle the crowds that night.
Poulimas wasn't the only one with issues - dozens of fans took to social media to voice their frustrations with the lines. Old National Theatre responded to most of those concerns asking them for contact information but they never addressed what caused the issue to begin with.

“It was so chaotic,” said Poulimas. “People were trying to watch the show and you had to disturb them to get to your seat. It was just a big, big mess.”
Old National Centre released the following statement Tuesday:
“The safety and comfort of our guests is our top priority. Everyone who was inconvenienced was offered refunds or tickets to another show. Contact the box office for details. There will be no replications of Friday's 'Dancing With The Stars' queueing issues."
“I’ve been going there for over 40 years and I have no desire to go back,” said Poulimas. “Am I going to have to wait outside again? I’m not going to do that. So, I want to know why.”
