INDIANAPOLIS -- A pedestrian is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle on Indianapolis' east side Friday evening.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the scene near the intersection of Emerson Avenue and Southeastern Avenue around 10 p.m.
Police say a pedestrian was struck and transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The driver did stay on the scene and alcohol is not suspected. No charges have been filed at this time.
The incident remains under investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
