INDIANAPOLIS -- The RTV6 news team brought home an armful of awards Friday night at the annual Society of Professional Journalists Best in Indiana Journalism Awards – earning seven 1st places and finishing in the top three in 14 categories overall.

The awards come on the heels of RTV6 being named “Outstanding News Operation” at the annual Associated Press Awards in Indianapolis earlier this month. The RTV6 team also won 1st place for “Best News Series” for the “Delphi Daughters” special about the murders of two young girls in Delphi, Indiana, as well as “Best Newcsat.” The AP’s “Best Reporter” award went to Call 6 Investigator Kara Kenney.

We want to celebrate our successes with you – because without you, none of this would be possible! So keep sending in your news tips and story ideas and continue watching RTV6!
