Suspected serial Subway robber arrested after hitting store on Indy's east side

INDIANAPOLIS -- A man accused of robbing at least six Indianapolis Subway restaurants was arrested Wednesday evening. 

With a partial license plate from one of the robberies, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Robbery Coordination Unit Detectives were able to identify and locate a suspect vehicle. Detectives followed the suspect for two days while he was allegedly "casing" several Subway restaurants on the east side of Indianapolis. 

On Wednesday, detectives followed the driver, identified as Jeffrey Tullis, 26, to the Subway in the 7300 block of Rockville Road where he robbed the store and drove off. 

Detectives then followed Tullis to a home on Georgetown Road where he was arrested without incident. 

Officers found a replica rifle, a metal pellet pistol and money that was believed to be from the Subway inside Tullis' Camry. 

He was arrested on suspicion of robbing the following locations:

  • Subway    8535 Ditch Rd.
  • Subway    5450 Fall Creek Pkwy. N. Dr.
  • Subway    7302 Rockville Rd.
  • Subway    4001 W. Washington St.
  • Subway    3814 N. High School Rd.
  • Subway    7302 Rockville Rd.

The Marion County Prosecutor will review the case and make final charging decisions.
