INDIANAPOLIS – A downtown Indy road was closed Monday afternoon after a suspicious package was discovered near the federal building.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police said the package was found at the Minton-Capehart Federal Building at 575 N. Pennsylvania Street. Delaware Street, near Michigan Street, was closed as police were on scene.
Workers said the building wasn’t evacuated. They said they were able to leave the property, but not allowed to go inside.
Officers didn’t give any additional information.
